Not bad (2008-08-06)
The timex watch feels cheap and the chest strap is not very comfortable. However this is my first heart rate monitor and it seems to work just fine. The replaceable battery is the reason I chose this watch over the entry level Polar watch. So far I have no reason to suspect that this was a bad purchase. I will update if I have any issues with this product.

Decent but basic (2008-08-05)
This is my first HRM. It is a very basic and simple device to use. The booklet included in the package was very helpful in understanding heart rate zones and how to use them in an exercise routine. I found the strap to be a little uncomfortable, but not so much that it can't be used. After using it a few times, however, I have discovered that I would like to have something a little more advanced. This is due more to the fact that I had no experience using an HRM before purchasing this one than to any deficiency in the product. Now that I understand how to use it while exercising, it would be nice to have a few more features, such as more memory and tracking information. If you want something that is simple, fairly rugged, and inexpensive, then this could be a good choice.

Good for the price (2008-08-01)
This HR is comfortable, the wrist piece is slick looking. The HR monitor seems to be a little off when I'm on a threadmill compared to the Threadmill's monitor. Just off by a few numbers, but it could be that the threadmills are wrong. This is the best price for an HR monitor, I couldn't find anything cheaper at any stores around Chicago.

does what it says (2008-07-31)
Easy to use and I like that you can change the battery in the send unit easily. I like the product.

Great Basic Heart Rate Monitor (2008-07-29)
This heart rate monitor is great for those (like me) who just wants to know what their heart rate is. It looks great and has a nice comfortable feel. It has an large, easy-to-read display and is very easy to use. This product gets only 4 1/2 stars (if Amazon let you choose 1/2 stars) because it doesn't have some of the high tech features like calorie counters or stop watches like other monitors have. I personally didn't want to have a monitor with a bunch of extras that I wouldn't ever use. This is fantastic buy.
