This is a great watch. I bought this for my husband and he loves it!! It looks great, works great and is very good quality. I would definitely recommend this product.

Service Counts (2007-01-26)
I've long been a fan of multifunction watches, having previously worn both Suunto and Casio watches for their features, but it was time for an upgrade to something a bit nicer looking, and the Tissot T-Touch watch looked to fit the bill. So, I thought I'd give Tissot a try.

I purchased this watch last September, but within two months the touch crystal began misbehaving. To activate the crystal, you press a button on the side of the watch, then touch the crystal top near one of the functions identified on the bezel. It worked great out of the box, but after two months when I would activate it, it would only allow me to select one or two functions, ignoring touches to the other functions. Oddly, after a few days I would try again, only to find that a different function was now working, but not the earlier one. I initially thought I might have gotten some moisture inside the watch, since I wear it in the shower, but no moisture ever appeared under the crystal (and the watch is certified to 100 ft.).

Anyway, I contacted the World Watches folks and they directed me to their website, where I downloaded a return authorization form (they call it an RMI), that I filled out to return the watch to them for service (I also sent them a separate email explaining the symptoms, since the two inches allowed for on the form wasn't enough, and recommend including it with the shipment to help the repair folks, as well). I was extremely anxious about shipping the watch back, because it was very expensive, but it WAS broken. So, I proceeded. The watch was returned within three weeks, now fully functional again. Needless to say, I am delighted.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for now, but the repair process couldn't have been simpler, and was without any hassles. Of course, this is the first watch I've ever had that NEEDED repairs (and I've been using Suunto and Casio multifunction watches for years), so that has to be taken into account.

With a watch this expensive, I would have expected better quality control from Tissot, and although I can't fully discount that my wearing it in the shower might have contributed to its problem, the watch IS supposed to be waterproof. This is a very cool watch, and a show-stopper when people notice me touching the crystal to access some function. I would have given it five stars except for having to get it repaired after only two months in service (I delayed getting it repaired until after the holidays because I didn't want it getting lost in shipment).

If you're interested in a cool multifunction watch, this should certainly be on your radar. With World Watches excellent repair process, it's worth taking a chance. Recommended.
