Large enough to easily accommodate two adults or three small children, this queen-size Quickbed gets its name from Double-Lock valves that allow it to inflate 10 times quicker than air beds with pinch valves. Inflation time is roughly three minutes with the included QuickPump, which runs on four D batteries (not included). And when morning rolls around you'll find that, thanks to the Double-Lock valves, the air beds deflate 20 times faster as well. Keep one of these queen-size flocked air beds around for camping trips, unexpected guests, or kids' slumber parties (the mattress will accommodate fitted or flat queen-size sheets). The heavy-duty PVC construction is designed to endure all sorts of abuse, but if anything should happen, a repair kit is included. The green-flocked rayon top can be a little prone to dust, but it does add warmth and softness for colder nights. The air bed can hold up to 600 pounds. Its 56 coils and 6-inch side gussets provide support and, unless you sit down from a height, keep you from bumping the ground. One-year limited warranty. --Ariel Meadow Stallings

Great value (2008-08-20)
I needed to add a little air each night before bed, but with temperatures going up & down thru the day the loss of air was very minimal. Great VALUE, the pump that comes with it is just fine bigger pump is not necessary. Easy to put up, & take down & put away.

great! (2008-07-31)
Super comfy, holds air well, and easy to use! I've used it quite a few times now and its already paid for itself, and I know I will use it again often. I live in a small apartment in NYC and this is a lifesaver when overnight guests stop by!

you get what you pay for (2008-07-24)
What a disappointment. I sent this bed to my daughter's house so that I would have something to sleep on when I visit. It is very thin and the pump is flimsy. The mattress does not pump up fully, I cannot determine if that is because of the pump or the mattress. During the night, unless you are a slight, skinny person, if you turn over you will find that parts of your body touch the floor. This definitely would not be comfortable for two people. Also, getting up in the morning is difficult because you are so close to the floor. A young person may have no trouble but anyone over 40 will find it to be a challenge unless you are an olympic gymnast. I used this for three nights and saved the price of a hotel room. In that respect I got my money's worth but I will not use it again.

Spend a little more money and get a thicker mattress.

buyer beware (2008-07-22)
Coleman does not stand behind this product. Got this as a gift and used it three times. Started to leak and called for warrenty. They said since I don't have a receipt I can't collect on the one year warrenty. I understood that. However the warrenty starts when the product is manufactured not when purchased. So be aware.

Easy to set up, more comfortable than previous models (2008-07-22)
I purchased this air mattress kit a few weeks ago, and I'm very happy with it. The chambered design provides a sturdy sleep surface that is much firmer than the old-style tube mattresses. With the older models, even after filling the mattress completely, one could put a knee down in the middle of it and feel the hard ground beneath. Coleman seems to have alleviated this with this newer model -- when it's pumped up, it's an actual firm mattress.

The battery-powered pump that comes with it seems dinky, being not much bigger than the four D cell batteries that are required to operate it, but it fills the entire mattress in less than a minute. If you've ever stood around stomping on one of those manual foot pumps for fifteen minutes, you'll really appreciate this little pump.

The lock valve works well when the pump is removed, too. This gives the user a chance to actually screw the cap on, instead of fumbling around trying to screw it in while the bed deflates.

Storage is easy. With its built-in sling bag and simple directions, just deflate, fold, role, and tie. Ta-da! Done, and it takes up about as much room as a small laptop computer bag.

A good, comfortable air mattress for those who are a little past the age where a quarter inch of foam will suffice.
